If Angela Grace, reporter for The Postulator, hadn’t seen the gorgeous naked man with her own eyes—and shot some rousing photographs to boot—who would have believed her? Yet, there he stood in all his glory staring up at the full moon in the deep woods of the Colorado foothills. It wasn’t until the tabloid ran the titillating photo on the cover that she found out, Blaze Trent, reclusive millionaire in question, took issue with his privacy being sold to pay Angela’s rent. Worse, the article in her paper not only exposed him, but her wild speculations exposed the vulnerable wards he protected and put her life in unthinkable danger as well. But over night, Blaze changed everything Angela believed in and her world would never be the same again—without him.

Just how much is a picture worth?

Angela never thought that a risqué photograph of a naked man in the woods would change her life. Yet the morning after she shot the pictures, the naked man, Blaze Trent, tracked her down and demanded she hand over the film insisting that it was a matter of life and death.

Unfortunately, Angela had already sent the pictures and an outlandish story to go with them to her paper. The story is printed and before she knows it, Angela finds herself immersed in a world full of creatures she thought only existed in her dreams. Through it all, Angela finds herself drawn to Blaze. Is simply lust, or something more?

Since space is limited in a short story, it is essential that the author show the reader rather then tell them. Ms. Gardiner certainly accomplished this with Angela’s character. I got a feel for her personality immediately through her inner dialogue and her interactions with other people. Angela is a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants out of life. She is also strong enough to admit when she’s made a mistake. Once she learns that her pictures of Trent have put lives in danger, she insists on helping Blaze set things right.

Blaze is the classic strong hero with a soft heart. On the surface he maintains a strong and distant attitude toward most people. On the inside, he’s a man who cares deeply for those he considers family, and he’d die to protect them. Blaze is immediately drawn to Angela. However, Blaze hides a terrible secret. Will Angela accept him once she learns the truth about him and those he protects?

I was so immersed in the world Ms. Gardiner created in Dangerous Exposure that I was a bit sad when the story ended. I wanted to learn more about Angela and Blaze and the dangers they would face together. Dangerous Exposure is a stimulating paranormal story sure to spark the imagination.
