Caleb Locke lived for one thing—killing zombies. And this man—this legend—was exactly what Samantha Wagner needed. In mist-shrouded alleys, hunted by zombies, haunted by fear, she vowed to find Caleb and convince him to help her. But she hadn't counted on falling in love….

Caleb kept his own secrets—like the one he couldn't hide when the moon was full. But his wolf was drawn to Samantha, recognizing her as his mate. With her in his arms, Caleb reveled in passion…and rued his deception. Would she still love the man who fought by her side if she realized that zombies weren't the only monsters? Samantha would have to make a choice—and she only had till the next full moon.

I love the idea of monsters fighting monsters especially when one of them is actually a very hunky guy with a noble agenda. Well, he doesn’t think he is noble but I sure do. And despite his best intentions, he can’t but help a damsel in distress.

Caleb is my kind of guy. He’s got this furry secret that he thinks makes him unlovable so he stays away from relationships. I enjoy watching strong men turn befuddled and bemused and then delighted and happy when they realize they too can have a happily ever after. Unfortunately for Caleb, his HEA is hard fought in all sense of the word. There is nothing simple or normal or peaceful in his life and that goes double when he meets Samantha. I liked Caleb’s strength, his suspicious nature and the fact that his furry beast knows what it wants because if left completely to the man, he would have run from his future.

Samantha is a woman blinded by the love for her friend and hope has given her tunnel vision. She’s a character I talked to through most of the book. “TELL HIM!” or “DON”T GO THERE!” and I got really loud after one scene and shouted, “DON’T TRUST HIM!!!”. Oh yeah, I totally got into the book. I knew, just knew what she was eventually going to find, but her character had to make the journey, had to face the reality but I couldn’t stop trying to save her. It felt like being a passenger in a car and pushing that imaginary brake that you wished would override the driver’s. I liked Samantha’s fortitude, her misplaced bravery and her determination. But she’s a woman compromised by anguished feelings, rioting emotions and a surprising dose of lust for Caleb. Those sexual urges don’t have good timing but falling in love doesn’t follow textbook rules. And certainly there wouldn’t be a chapter on this type of situation.

The bad guy isn’t alone. His cohorts are creepy and disgusting. And I’m glad Caleb isn’t squeamish about fighting against them. I was kind of grossed out... but that is the nature of the threat; it can’t be anything else but shiver inducing. The author did a great job with description and storytelling ambiance. The dialogue fit the characters and the plot movement was well paced. It was a gripping, page flipping and very interesting well told tale.

Zombie Moon is a paranormal romance that walks on the line of the dark side. It’s haunting and action packed with characters that are strong when they need to be and soft when they can. This book was entertaining and I’m quite glad I read it.
