An alluring woman in a red dress. Is she an ally…or a killer’s lure?

Sensory Ops, Book 2

Actress Kami Evans is tackling the biggest role of her life—as an escort. There’s definitely something going on in Madame V’s mansion, but Kami has to prove herself trustworthy before she can dig deeper and prove her stepbrother didn’t commit suicide.

Her first assignment: seduce a CEO and, oddly, steal his hair brush. He’s everything she avoids in a man: suave, sexy, suited. She plays her role all the way to the bedroom…and finds it stunningly difficult to walk away.

Breck Lawson’s undercover assignment, posing as a replacement CEO, is yielding zero clues as to why his friend tried to kill himself—until Kami comes on the scene. She’s everything he likes in a woman: safe, sexy, temporary. She also arouses him just by walking into a room, a sure sign it’s time to push her away.

Then he connects the dots she unwittingly shares, and realizes their investigations are linked by delicate strands of DNA. Keeping her near isn’t wise, but he has to know her secrets and keep her safe.

Unless they trust each other and come clean, those dots could lead to death for both of them…

What does an elite escort service have to do with the apparent suicide deaths of a couple of high profile CEO’s? Kamille Evans goes undercover to find the answer, since one of those CEO’s was her best friend and step brother Channing.

When Kami receives her first assignment from the mysterious Madame V, she is confused at the order to steal her date’s hairbrush and bring it back. Breck Lawson is an attractive man, but Kami is determined to find out why Channing was targeted--she is positive he didn’t kill himself--and when she realizes that Breck has replaced another CEO who died in less than normal circumstances, she figures out that he is the next target. Compounding the issue is the attraction Kami feels for Breck. But there is more to all of this than meets the eye, and before long, Kami is afraid for Breck as well as for her own safety. Can Kami find the answers she is looking for, without losing her heart to the handsome CEO? Can Kami break through the shell Breck has around his heart? Will these two be able to put all the secrets behind them and move on together?

Nikki Duncan’s second Sensory Ops book is every bit as fantastic as the first. She draws you into the story, and makes you care what happens to the characters. And what wonderful characters these are.

Kami, the former high society girl turned actress is strong and determined to find the truth. She is also scared of being caught, not knowing who to trust. Her belief in her step-brother keeps her going, looking for the truth of what happened. Even though she is playing a role, she still has a unique sense of honesty: for instance, she does as ordered and steals what she believes is Breck’s hairbrush, but also finds a way to warn him of possible danger.

Breck is the reluctant executive, and not all is as it seems with his role either. When his best friend Trevor Masters is reported killed, he steps into his shoes as CEO in order to get to the bottom of things. Since Breck is actually head of an elite government team, he is doing much the same as Kami. Strong, handsome and sexy, he isn’t prepared for the extreme attraction he feels for Kami.

There several delicious twists and turns here, and no one is who they appear to be in this one. Even the villains in this one are intriguing, and the action is fantastic and edge of your seat thrilling.

If you are looking for mystery, intrigue, romance and lots of red hot sex in several locations, this one is it. But beware: these characters will grab your heart and make you want more.
