Armed with a bouquet of flowers and a cheesy one liner, courage brings Geoff to Bridgette’s door, but his plans to ask her out on a date were ruined by a blood-curling scream…in Bridgette’s apartment. Instead of an attacker, he finds Bridgette—naked and cowering on a toilet seat—battling a spider. To salvage the situation, Geoff knew he needed a hell of a lot more than a cheesy one-liner to get a date.

Tara Nichols immediately captures her readers' empathy with her opening scene and Geoff's dilemma. And her snappy combination of words creates some fabulous phrases, such as - "and his over active imagination had created a wake of self-doubt within him."

This story is short, and yet Ms. Nichols encapsulates all the emotions of the importance of getting 'that meeting' right. With amazing skill, she packs in vivid settings, plenty of emotions, and her secondary characters all play an integral part in hiking up the level of emotion zapping between Geoff and Brigette.

It is a charming story full of the 'feel-good-factor' and leaves you with a smile in your heart when you read the final sentence. I certainly recommend you grab a copy of your own.
