Hannah doesn’t believe in things that go bump in the night – until they start accumulating on her doorstep.

A reluctant empath, her powers jump to the forefront of her life, and she has no choice but to take notice when dishy, arrogant Edwin attempts to kidnap her as part of a covert mission to save the Eight Realms. Will she be as successful in denying Edwin’s potent sex appeal as she was in hiding from the paranormal world?

Edwin is a half-vamp, intent on collecting the bounty on errant paranormal beings. His best-laid plans go awry when he meets stubborn Hannah. He needs her telekinetic powers in order to vanquish the power-hungry Demon Lord, Andre. He’s thrown off guard as she bewitches him with her sarcastic nature as well as her tempting curves. Will the urge to make Hannah a light snack sabotage his mission?

Together the unlikely duo finds themselves flung into a sticky web of supernatural foes and dark deceit in their quest to protect the world’s magic. Can Edwin and Hannah save the Eight Realms before they fall under the evil influence of the deadly Demon Lord, or will the fire of their relationship destroy them first?

After a mistake when she was young and naive, Hannah has been trying to ignore her powers. Once Edwin shows up at her job she can no longer dismiss or hide from them. Hannah must help him fulfill his quest and fight the evil that threatens to destroy the world as she knows it. Can Edwin convince Hannah that only she can help him? Will the two be able to control Hannah’s powers and defeat the evil that threatens us all?

This book had me hooked from the first page. It was full of adventure and romance from the beginning to end. Hannah is a wonderful heroine. She may be full of self-doubt and she lacks confidence at the start, but she gains it all threefold by the end of the book. She is a smart woman who takes what life gives her, good or bad.

Edwin is a straight-laced no nonsense man, yet he finds his world turned upside down by Hannah. The two make a great team and play off of each other in a wonderful way. Their quest takes them on a wonderful adventure where Hannah meets and befriends many a magical beings. As Hannah learns how to use her gifts she teaches Edwin how to open his heart.

Sandra Sookoo writes a wonderful tale bringing the reader into her magical world. You never know just what kind of creature will pop up next. The characters are so full of depth and emotion the reader finds themselves running the gambit of emotions from laughing out loud to fighting tears. This was a fabulous story about finding and fighting for true love that should not be missed.
