At thirty-nine years of age, Caitlin has achievement, possessions, and position, but realizes, when she hurt Mike fifteen years ago, she had also denied a part of herself that had gone unnourished for all those years.

Michael S. Rafferty is a lover from Caitlin’s college years. Now he is a well-known troubleshooter who is goal-oriented and hard driving. A turbulent marriage that ended in divorce left emotional scars and some wounds that have not yet healed from his having lost daily involvement with his twin children, Brendan and Beth. Continued trouble with his ex-wife caused him to leave his former job and take a position in his old stomping ground. When he sees Caitlin, he knows why he came back to the area. He had wanted to find her, just hadn’t thought he would find her at his new place of employment. She is bewitching and enchants him.
