How could this have happened?

They had one night. That’s all Shelby Brookes would allow herself to indulge in with Luke Tulane. Yes, he’s gorgeous and yes, he’s the greatest guy she knows, but he’s her best friend’s brother for crying out loud! And she’s pretty sure there are rules against sleeping with friends’ brothers.

Then Shelby discovers she’s pregnant. And Luke’s determined to do the right thing—down to the bended knee proposal and the meeting at the altar. As tempting as his offer is, Shelby’s convinced she’s not the marrying kind. She’s bound to hurt him and that’s definitely against the rules of friendship. Still, she doesn’t count on how persuasive Luke can be when he really wants something…her.

He’s been her rock for years. She’s been the object of his desire for the same time. But what happens when she falls for the one man she can’t be with? Read Her Best Friend’s Brother and find out.

Kay Stockham writes sweet romances with compelling twists and turns that keeps the reader involved with the story. Her characters are memorable and have the same issues the reader has. You want to see them succeed and grow as a couple. This story is no exception.

Luke is a great hero because he is the champion of positive thinking. If there’s an issue, he sees the glass half full side. But then again, his positivity can grate on the nerves, but that’s what drew me to him. He had flaws and a heart of gold.

As the heroine, I liked Shelby. She wanted to do things her way, even if it meant smashing her heart in the process. I loved her independent spirit. No one wants to be backed into a corner and Shelby showed how strength and determination helped her to persevere. But then when Luke offered his love, she also proved that capitulation wasn’t so bad either. I liked the idea that she wasn’t afraid to be a single mother. Many women are faced with the same situation and can learn from her story.

If you want a sensual romance filled with fun characters and a rich storyline, then you need to read Her Best Friend’s Brother.
