Aspiring author Cassie Teague has been rejected…again. As she considers giving up her dream of getting published, a handsome editor walks into her life and makes her wonder if God has more in store for her than just writing.

Acquisitions editor David Jameson wants more than just Cassie’s book. But will office politics destroy his hope for the future?

Cassie Teague receives yet another rejection letter for her manuscript. A chance encounter with a handsome stranger buoys her confidence that her book will finally be published. But will it? Is the stranger who he says he is?

Cassie Teague, would-be-published author, meets David Jameson, an editor at Turnip Press. Cassie had been praying for God to lead her to the right man and after their meeting and the wonderful dinner that followed Cassie thinks perhaps God has finally steered her in the right direction.

David is an editor at Turnip Press and promises Cassie that her book will be published. After a week of phone conversations and attending David’s church with him, Cassie’s spirits are soaring. But when she calls Turnip Press to speak with David, she receives quite a shock. Will her book ever get published now?

I liked this story. It was sweet. I didn’t expect the surprise twist to it which was nicely and easily explained. As a writer, I could totally relate to this story. Rejections are never easy to contend with and Cassie’s heartbreak is palpable.

This is a nice, easy read and any author or would be author will certainly enjoy it and relate with great empathy.
