This collection embodies a wide range of work tied together by the holiday of Valentine’s Day and the idea that we all want to fall in love. Each author’s take is unique and moving. The plot lines are tight and capture the reader’s attention from the first page.

In "Once Upon a Bite" by Kimberly Raye, Sheriff Matt Keller has a big problem – he’s a werewolf that suffered a vampire’s bite. The result is a hungry sex drive and the need to howl at the moon, or better yet, local spa owner and aspiring writer Shay Briggs. Shay wants to want Matt. He’s sexy, caring, and dangerous. Problem? She’s tired of bad boys who want no commitments. And so the werewolf and spa owner games begin. Shay’s insecurities mirror those of many women – want me for my mind, not just my body. Who can’t relate to that? As for Matt, he wants his mate and when he finds her, he’s never letting her go.

In "My, What a Big… You Have" by Leslie Kelly, Scarlett Templeton writes real world fairy tales for children, you know, the kind where the heroine kicks hind end and the hero sometimes turns out to be a jerk. On her way to Granny’s house, she takes a new turn and ends up in the arms of ex-cop Hunter Thibodaux. He wants to ignore her charms, but he can’t. Miss Kelly mixes fantasy and reality in such a way that you can’t help but read on to see what happens. I liked seeing a heroine who wasn’t insecure about her body or how she wanted to seduce her hero.

In "Sexily Ever After" by Rhonda Nelson, Juliet Swan just wants a Valentine’s Day that doesn’t suck. She tells a local news station that Cupid “can kiss her…” well, you know. When she’s hired to paint naughty murals for a tycoon, the man working on the grotto decides he can’t walk away from Juliet any longer. Gareth Harper dated Juliet’s sister, but he really wanted Juliet. Both want the job done right; they just don’t realize that being together is inevitable. This story pops with sexual tension and innuendo. I loved the fact that Gareth loved her just the way she was and wasn’t afraid to voice that notion.

If you want a great bedtime read, filled with sexy alpha heroes and women you could see as your close friends, then Blazing Bedtime Stories is the anthology for you! I give this work 5 books!
