Haunted house tour guide Shelby Tucker gets hot and bothered when she stumbles upon sexy, naked Boston McNamara. She knows he's no ghost, though he does makes her weak in the knees.

What happens when a country girl meets a big city executive? The town ghosts intervene to ensure they fall in love, of course. Such is the story of Shelby Tucker and Boston Macnamara in A Date with the Other Side.

I love Erin McCarthy’s quirky, humorous writing style. I was pulled in from page one and couldn’t put the book down until I finished. The characters sparkle with their little idiosyncrasies that could make them anyone you know. Although I disliked that Boston insisted on returning to Chicago, I liked how his issues added tension to the overall story. Plus, it made him a typical, identifiable guy. Nice touch.

Ms. McCarthy adds a paranormal twist to this story that adds to the suspense without dragging the storyline down. I love a pesky ghost who won’t take no for an answer.

Shelby Tucker is a great heroine. She’s not perfect, but she knows what she wants out of life. It was like reading about a close friend and hoping she got her Prince Charming in the end.

My favorite scene was when Shelby entered Boston’s bedroom only to embarrass him when the eyelet bedspread got caught on his naked body. Too funny and so plausible. I loved it.

If you want a story filled with intelligent characters, a sexy hunk and a couple ghosts for good measure, then pick up a copy of A Date with the Other Side. You’ll love it. I give this book 5 books!
