Ever felt like the last item left on the clearance rack?

As a successful patent attorney, Ashley Stockingdale has all the makings of a perfect catch – the looks, the brains, even a convertible. But at 31, she’s beginning to wonder if she’s been passed over for good.

Deciding to adopt a new attitude, Ashley suddenly becomes the romantic interest of three men within a matter of days. While her heart enjoys turning the tables on the dating game, the rest of her previously predictable world is being turned upside down. Is it more than Ashley can handle? Or is it exactly what she wants?

This is chicklit at its best. If you’re a romance reader looking for that all-important HEA, then this book is for you.

Chicklit is not for every reader. Some of those chicklit heroines can be annoying and the plots may not be your cup of tea. And then after everything the guy may not even end up with the girl at the end. Really??!!

Rest assured that is not the case in What a Girl Wants.

I really enjoy reading Ms. Billerbeck’s Ashley Stockingdale books. This is the first of 3 in this series. Her heroine has her flaws and is not perfectly beautiful. The true love interest in her life (there are several possibilities) is not the drop dead gorgeous type, but still as Ashley is apt to say…Be Still My Heart! It is a thoroughly engaging read. I love the voice of Ashley and find myself relating to her even though I’ve been married for…far too long. The last three or four chapters are an agony because you want to know how it is all going to work out so you MUST keep reading. A true test of a good book!

It’s humorous…it’s touching…it’s well worth the read. If you’ve never read Chick-lit, this is a good place to start. I thoroughly recommend it.
