Diamonique’s life is changed forever when she stumbles across Cain Reed on a dark, lonely New York street. With a single bite, she’s given immortality and shown unimaginable pleasure. But before she can explore eternal love his betrayal tears them apart.

One hundred years later, Cain is back to save her from a dark enemy. Rafael, the depraved leader of The Dominion, will stop at nothing to settle an ancient score between him and Cain. Caught in the middle, Diamonique will need to swallow her pride and rely on Cain if she’s to survive. But is she handing her trust over to the right immortal or is she merely trading one evil for another?

A full moon illuminates the streets on one 1840s eve, and impulsive Diamonique has foolishly put herself at risk. She hurries along the gas-lit New York Streets ... and we hurry to read the next line and the next!

From the first lines, “A Diamond At Midnight” is thrilling and engaging. The Gothic-aura night, the efforts to quell fear, the fascinating horror that descends upon our heroine – We will share her repulsion, horror… and more. The personal strength of a woman that carries her from the nineteenth century to the present day; the impact of one seemingly horrible yet hard to judge deed – all combine to create a main character of depth and unusual perception; Diamonique is however, mistrustful still, and full of doubt and fear. Eternity is a long time to commit to someone, after all.

She longs for love – but, in a capricious way, it is lust she copes with on the night –to-night basis. Anything to transcend that, would have to be an exceptional... and from one heated moment to the next, it is nearly impossible to guess where this story is going. Sex is also paramount in her thoughts – sex, and the dreadful vampire desire for blood… but jealousy exists in the dark vampire world as well, and it may destroy all her hopes of a forever relationship.

"A Diamond At Midnight" is a fascinating and incredibly well-imagined paranormal. The quality of the story is exceptional; descriptions excellent – the development of the sensual, all engaging. The paranormal fan will get a thrill out of this one.
