Ten years earlier, Bailee walked out on Mark before their first wedding anniversary. A miscommunication between their mutual friends brings them to the same ski cabin the week before New Year’s.

Mark longs to rekindle their romance, while Bailee is determined to meet the man she’s met online at New Year’s Eve. With the sparks between them burning hotter than the water in the hottub will Mark be able to convince her to try again or will Bailee decide that out with the old and in with the new is a much better option.

A secluded and romantic ski cabin, a Christmas wish and a couple who couldn’t hold their marriage together in the past. Will it be Kismet or chaos?

Roni Adams has created for her audience in 112 short pages, a romance with all the bells and whistles. It has charm, angst and drama, it has sex, lust and love. The plot will entice the outdoor adventure lover as well as the sit in front of the fire lover as she takes us to her imaginary ski resort on any mountain of her choosing. Her dialogue is to the point and flows masterfully throughout the piece to give the readers the full novel experience in a short story. Her words will take you away to the top of the mountain where in your mind you can paint your own pictures of the scenery she describes. You only meet two of her characters but those are the two who matter, her hero Mark and her heroine Bailee.

Now these two may have actually deserved the unhappy ending to their previous marriage and we get to see them put it back together to make sure that this time they get that all elusive HEA. The romance is as flawed as its protagonists, but it’s at the same time full of potential for the future as we see just how in love these two still are and always were. The love scenes will melt the deepest snow on the ground but the readers will be pleased to feel the love through the lust. Heck I’d divorce my husband if I thought for a second that I’d get this kind of reunion from him.

If you’ve been good or maybe especially if you’ve been bad Santa will spank you while filling your stocking. Oh wait that’s another story or is it a daydream.

Ms. Adams rocks in the holiday short story department, her characters, her story and her romance is as bright as the North Star. If you’re looking for a holiday story with that hits all the buttons look no farther, this one is what every romance fan wants in her stocking.
