Her Vampire Husband was a pleasant surprise, offering something unique and fresh in a genre saturated by fangs and fur. Author Michele Hauf has managed to create a visual and well-constructed world in which vampires, werewolves, fairies, and all sorts of paranormal creatures exist – though not entirely in peace or harmony.

She may resist his bite, but she can't resist his charms…
Werewolf princess Blu Masterson won't allow her seductive vampire husband to consummate their marriage with his bite, marking her forever. Alone in a secluded estate with her sworn enemy, Blu curses the marriage arranged to bring their rival nations together, especially since Creed Saint-Pierre calls out to her most feral desires.
When Blu uncovers her pack's secret plot to destroy the vampire nation—and Creed—she is forced to confront her growing feelings for her sexy undead husband. Will she choose the only life she's ever known or accept his vampire bite?
When Blu discovered she was being forced to marry a vampire, she did everything within her power to sway her father to reconsider. Enemies for as long as she can recall, she doesn’t want to reside or sleep with a drinker of blood – a longtooth. Unfortunately, that is exactly what has come to pass, and now that she’s said the vows and is swept away to his mansion, she’s determined not to accept the one thing that is demanded of her – his bite. Yet, what once was an easy decision becomes difficult as Creed gets beneath her skin and she finds herself attracted to the vampire who is everything she is not – refined, worldly, and contemplative.
Creed wasn’t sure what to expect when he married a werewolf. Would she be hairy? Would her manners be atrocious? Female werewolves are a rarity, which is why the marriage was decided upon in the first place. Sacrificing one of their most prized possessions to a vampire is only the first step in many toward peace. Although he braced himself for anything, the lime-green tressed vixen with the body of a goddess was not what he envisioned. Blu is young, impulsive, and wild – and the difference in their attitudes lures him in a way blood never could. As they settle in with one another and form a tentative truce, he’ll learn that Blu does far more that captivate him – she ignites a fire in his blood that cannot be contained.
As with all Michele Hauf’s work, the writing is fantastic and the characters are well thought out. There is so much going on with Blu and with Creed, which adds to the tension and varying subplots as the story advances. While there were instances when things seemed to lull, they were brief, and I was able to dive right back in as the sexual tension between our star-crossed hero and heroine steamed up the pages.
A thoroughly engaging and enjoyable read; be sure not to miss Her Vampire Husband.
