A lie that brings a smile... or the truth that draws tears?
Dr. Olivia Crane lives a quiet life. No one questions why she doesn't socialize or where she spends every weekend.
When the visiting physician from France strolls into her office, with open arms and a confident smile, her perfect control is about to crumble.
Good God, he can't be Dr. Luc George, the man she loved ten years ago? Should she return his scorching kisses, or should she lock her door before he digs into her many secrets?
Secret daughter, secret friend, secret enemy. Had Luc really known his sweet Olivia back then? He wants her back, but he wants the truth, too. Now, Olivia has to face her past before she can grab her second chance.
No More Lies is full of emotion, suspense, intrigue, good intentions and determination, depending on which character POV you are looking from.
Mona Risk’s writing sweeps you into the story from the first page, and keeps you turning the pages. How can Olivia not realise she’s invited her hunky French ex-lover to join her medical team in Cincinnati? And how can she convince him she’s made a terrible mistake?
Dr. Lucien de Vicour is on a mission and has no intention of letting the past get in the way. But he’s reckoned without Ms Risk’s wonderful ability to weave mystery, desperation, fear and lack of trust into the obstacle course created for him. And then he discovers that his reward for overcoming them is two ladie's hearts, not one.
The skillful way Mona Risk weaves the medical details into her story reveals the amount of research she has done, and she ensures she gives the reader only what they need but with the authority of all her background work strengthening each piece of information she offers.
Family is the thread that is woven through this tapestry. Once again, she introduces each member in a way to ensure you keep turning the pages. Only to discover how her characters overcome all the conflicts and fears she puts in their way. This is the first of four Doctor’s Order stories, and when you have read this one, I’m sure you’ll add the next three to your wish list.
