This opens with a bang,and gallops to the final page at a steady pace. Ms MacRea plonks her reader right into emotional turmoil and follows her hero, Cade Harmon through to an acceptance of his loss and facing up to his future. It is well written and she sets her scenes with all the drama of a pro. Hence the disappointment that left the ending up in the air.
This stranger recognises him, he feels threatened. No way was he ready to deal with his past let alone consider his future. Shaine’s arrival in Cade’s life heralds the changes Cade has to face before he can move forward. What is it about Shaine, that she can reach into his soul?
In twenty one pages Ms Macrea places many obstacles in Cade’s way before he finds peace within himself. And jsu when the reader thinks he’s got it all sorted, he faces one more challenge, more extreme than anything he’s faced so far. Will he accept the challenge or not?
