Turning to Barry Manilow for inspiration seemed desperate, even to Grace Winston. Nevertheless, a warbled rendition of Ready to Take a Chance Again, chased down with an overabundance of cheap chardonnay, left Grace primed for an extreme life makeover. Now she must choose between a flame that burned her in the past and an engaging man with a past of his own.
After a decade in the military, Jake Magee is finally ready to settle down with the woman he's spent years dreaming about. Unfortunately, past mistakes threaten to derail his plan to show Grace he can be the man she always wanted. To win her heart, he must first find a way to win back her trust.

I fell in love with this story, especially the characters. It was so romantically written. Who hasn’t ever experienced a broken heart? I think we all have and we all find a way to come back from it. Everyone can relate to this story, especially to Grace, herself. The scenes were written for lovely and flow from one page to another.
In my personal opinion I would say that Ms. Oberlies is the master of her craft and I have the proof to back me up with this book. Oberlies delivers an explosive plot, captivating and memorable characters, and a very healthy does of passion. I started this book thinking I would read a couple of chapters before going to bed and I sat up until three in the morning finishing this beautiful romance evolve between Grace and Jake. It’s a book everyone should read!
