Vesta Johns has everything going for her—except her health. Desperate to find the answers to her lethargy and her insatiable desire for raw meat and sex, she seeks out the help of her doctor, but Dr. Cohen can give her no answers. Or can she?
Torrence Simiene is a medical consultant with a unique specialization. As an alpha werewolf, it’s been his job to aid Dr. Cohen’s special patients through their transition from human to shifter, for years. This time, however, it’s different. Vesta arouses his primal lust, and he’s having a hard time keeping her at a distance.
Will the doctor’s plan of care offer the ultimate cure for Tor and Vesta’s bestial cravings , or further drive them apart?
Vesta Johns has had some seriously odd symptoms of late. She can’t seem to sleep, feels like something is trying to break free within her, and craves raw meat. Worried, she seeks the help of her physician. After some blood work, her doctor assures her that she is perfectly fine – what the good doctor fails to mention is that Vesta carries the shapeshifter gene.
Enter Torrence Simiene, alpha of the United States pack. Tor senses something different about Vesta right off. While he always helps the new shapeshifters, he isn’t sure he’ll make it out of this one alive. The magnetic pull to Vesta is strong, making his inner beast rage, wanting to break free and mate with her.
A very quick but delightful read! As is true of most short stories, the plot moves at a fast pace, but Ms. Knight made sure to cover all of the bases. The intro to the story pulls you in, making you want to find out what happens next. The sexual tension between Tor and Vesta keeps you on the edge of your seat, waiting for the moment they decide to throw caution to the wind and claim one another.
Bestial Cravings was beautifully written; a page-turner from start to finish. I applaud Ms. Knight for her creativity. If you enjoy paranormal romance, you definitely need to add Bestial Cravings to your “to be read” pile.
