Ani King left her entire life behind when the Russian mafia brutally murdered her family. The Witness Security Program has kept her safe for two years, but with one simple phone call her cover is destroyed—and there is only one man left who can save her.

Protecting the brave, beautiful Ani became more than just a job a long time ago for Deputy Marshal Daniel Parker. And now, just days before the trial where she’s slated to give a damning testimony, the criminals who want her dead are on her trail. To keep Ani safe, Daniel has to keep her close—and her enemies closer. Because soon there’s nowhere for Ani to hide…but in his arms.
She witnessed the murders of her parents and sister at the hands of the Russian Mafia. He’s sworn to protect her while she is in the Witness Protection program. That’s fine, until they realize they both feel more for each other than simple platonic love. To make things worse, the Mafia isn’t letting up. She’s become a Moving Target.

Ms. McCray writes a compelling, sexy novel. Her descriptions and scenes are filled with facts that enhance the story. Her characters, though not angels, are fascinating and fun to read about. You feel like you’re on the thrill-ride with them. Ani, the heroine, possesses the fortitude of a saint. She takes all the tasks and deals with them with courage and conviction. Daniel makes one yummy hero. He’s willing to put his life and body on the line for her - especially with her.

I liked that the story moved at a great clip, and never left the reader feeling confused or left behind. The baddies are even fun to consider because Ms. McCray writes exciting antagonists.

If you want a great read for a lazy afternoon or a warm spring night, then Moving Target is the novel for you. I give this novel 5 books.
