Upon the reading of her father’s will, Angeline Hamilton is devastated to discover that not only has she lost her inheritance, but she has lost Tarrington Manor -- her beloved family home. When a reckless decision results in her working for the new owner, Sebastian Tremaine, she finds herself hopelessly attracted to the very man she should resent.
But her confusion over the unexpected romance soon gives way to fear. Someone wants her dead. Soon she’s embroiled in secrets, seduction and a simmering love affair.
Stalked by evil, Angeline and Sebastian try desperately to hold onto their new found love…and their lives.
Love tiptoes in while Angeline Hamilton and Sebastian Tremaine grapple with life-changing events. Angeline, while still reeling from her father’s death and learning her vast inheritance was gone, gets a condolence card that seems to be a threat.
Sebastian bought Tarrington Manor, Angeline’s ancestral home, through an agent and has no idea of what a game of revenge he has bought into. He is struggling with his own emotional and physical upheavals from a wreck that killed his wife and child, but soon finds himself involved with Angeline’s struggles.
The antagonist, though mentally deranged, has engineered a complex and long-range plan to make Angeline suffer for what he believes she did to him in the past. The clues are such that the reader knows who he is before the story is very far along.
Watching You is a story with an alpha male hero and a dependent heroine who has moments of showing strong emotions and resolve but who ultimately must be rescued by the hero. The abruptness of some new elements introduced into the story disconcerts at times. However, they always moved the plot along.
Watching You, an attention-grabbing suspense-mystery, becomes a happy-ever-after love story amid all the confusion created as the “Avenger” sets the last part of his plan in motion.
