Mitch Reeves broke her heart when he put duty before pleasure, but XT Melton is a big girl now. As long as she keeps her distance, XT is confident she can handle Mitch. Can she stay out of the handsome policeman's arms? He's come back to town with a determined look on his face, and the distance between them is closing fast.

While reading this story, I felt that I was at The Wallaby in Coffer's Ridge. Ms. Jones give a very detailed description of the pub and everything in and surrounding it. Then she goes into exact details of the clothing that XT is wearing. With the way everything and every movement is described, I could place myself right into the story.

I liked the character of XT Melton. I felt she was a smart girl. She even has a string of degrees as Mitch told her in the story. I thought XT was very imaginative when she told Barry Combs what she expected of him. I laughed when she told Barry his other girlfriend would have to go. I thought Barry's reactions to XT's demands were so funny. I could see his retreat in my mind as I read it.

I don't know too much about Mitch to really form an opinion. It seemed to me that he played his cards just right in order to snag XT and reel her in to him. I know that they had a former relationship but other than that, I only know that Mitchell is what I would consider very nice looking.

I liked how both XT and Mitchell negotiated a type of terms for being together similar to how she negotiated with Barry at the beginning of the story. I felt that they both cared for each other and wanted to be together if they could. I only wish that this story was longer so I could get more of XT and Mitch.

I found “Risky Tactics” to be a short, sweet read that was no risk to enjoy.
