Hot Zone
by P.J.Womack
A mission gone terribly wrong-Jake Claypool isn't the kind of guy any woman in her right mind would consider getting deeply involved with. He is just too much man! When their plane crashes in the jungle, however, Fontana and Claypool find they have to get along just enough to stop the bad guys.
And just enough, unfortunately, leads to a whole lot more.
When a 'babe' is your partner, work can never be dull -- and no matter how annoyed Agent Jake Claypool is, he's never, ever, bored. Open the pages to "Hot Zone"; a very suspenseful romance, by P.J. Womack, to step into this fast paced world.
Fast action and zippy dialogue characterize this work, which includes some of the best elements of other genres: like winding the romance around a mystery, and non-stop adventure. Description often recalls the snappy comments of the hard-boiled mysteries, with comments like: "Putting a lid on her resentment, " and "if her steady stare bothered him, he didn't break under pressure." Quck lines really hit, like "I won't put your ass in a sling with a harrassment suit if you don't get insulted when I tell you I have spanked better boys than you." Womack's deft touch with humor never lets us down.
Agents Jake and Jessica have some obvious chemistry--even though they are best at annoying one another. Although the pace never slows, the characters are complex and their situations add much to the overall plot. They also have a dangerous mission that leads them to the depths of a jungle (where the wildlife is equally surprising) and where they are no longer the hunters...
"Hot Zone" is full of the unexpected.
